Our nurses are exceptionally knowledgeable and competent in all patient care areas.  Some of the care you will receive from our nurses include:

• Providing supervision for all in-home aides that provide care in the home.

• Inspecting wounds, changing dressings, and handling personal grooming and hygiene when necessary and/or providing necessary oversight to in-home aides who are competent to perform these tasks.

• Testing for muscle weakness, bedsores, and any signs of infection.

• Listening to the concerns of family members and answering their questions.

• Educating caregivers and family on the aftercare or ongoing care of the patient.

• Providing suggestions for improved healthcare to physicians and family members of the patient.

• Monitoring patient recovery and compiling reports for the physician.

• Keeping abreast of developments in healthcare and attending workshops and lectures as required.

• Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop improved diets and healthcare plans for patients.

Our In-home Aides are qualified and trained to provide exceptional care.  Some of the care you will receive from our aides include:

• Enabling patients to stay in their homes by monitoring and recording patient condition, providing support and personal services, and teaching families.

• Monitoring patient condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.

• Supporting patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.

• Assisting patients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming.

• Helping patients care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.

• Helping family members care for the patient by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the patient.

• Advising on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping.

• Recording patient information by making entries in the patient journal and notifying nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions.

• Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following asepsis standards and procedures, maintaining security precautions, and following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards.

• Protecting the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

• Enhancing service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
